Change can only happen if we let go of the familiar and embrace the unknown.

This means releasing the story we have believed in so far and accepting that new possibilities can exist.

Therefore, the first, and perhaps the only, condition for change to occur is embracing the belief that it can happen. We must accept that 'we see it if we believe it,' rather than the other way around.

The resistance that arises during change stems from fear, insecurity, a lack of control, or simply the loss of the comfort found in routine. When you think about it, all of these reflect a lack of belief.

Therefore, the story we tell ourselves about the process of change is crucial; it must empower us and reinforce our role as conscious creators of our new reality.
